These lights produce a "warm " yellow color that provides lower contrast than "cooler " LED lighting. Incandescent bulbs generate light by heating a thin wire filament to very high temperatures. While heat is required to produce light by this method, the heat itself is wasted as is the energy that is consumed to generate it. LEDs use the properties of modern materials to generate light when electrical current is applied. Most of the energy is used to create light and very little is consumed in wasted heat. It is estimated that the Mighty Bright Orchestra Light consumes one-tenth the power of incandescent lights of similar brightness! Longer Life: The LEDs in the Orchestra Light will last for 100,000 hours of continuous use, eliminating the need to replace bulbs.
